Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Mialo works without an account and stores your personal data locally on your device — we can't read it. We don't sell your data. The only data leaving your phone is handled by Apple (for the €1.99/month Premium subscription) and by Google AdMob (for advertising).
Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how the Mialo application (the “App”), published by Sarah Mallem, handles information when you use it. It applies to the App and to any features described in our Terms of Use.
For any privacy question, you can reach us at webesum.contact@gmail.com.
Data Stored on Your Device
Mialo is a personal organization app (planner, goals, focus sessions, mood tracking, journal, finance tracking, and statistics). The App works without account creation.
Everything you enter — planner items, goals, moods, journal entries, finances, and statistics — is stored locally on your device. This information is never sent to us, and we have no access to it. If you delete the App, this local data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered by us.
Data We Do Not Collect
Mialo does not collect any personally identifiable information and requires no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or contacts, and we do not track your identity across the App.
The only data that leaves your device is processed by two third parties described below: Apple (subscription) and Google AdMob (advertising).
Premium Subscription (Apple)
Mialo offers an optional subscription, Mialo Premium, at €1.99 per month, auto-renewing and managed entirely through your Apple ID / App Store account.
- Payment and billing are processed by Apple, not by us. We never see or store your payment details (card number, Apple ID password, etc.).
- We may receive from Apple anonymous or aggregated information about purchases (for example, whether a subscription is active), without any data identifying you personally.
- Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
You can manage or cancel the subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings, as described in our Terms of Use.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays third-party advertising through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect certain technical data, such as:
- Device advertising identifier (e.g. IDFA on iOS, subject to your permission);
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- Device and technical information (device type, operating system, app version);
- Advertising interaction data (ads shown, taps, and similar metrics).
This data is collected and processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. For more on how Google uses data from apps that use its services, see this page.
Advertising Preferences & Tracking
On iOS, apps must ask for your permission before tracking you across other apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, AdMob may still show ads, but non-personalized ones.
- You can change this choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- You can limit ad personalization in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
How This Data Is Used
The limited data described above is used only to: process your Premium subscription (Apple), and display and measure advertising (Google). We do not use it to build a personal profile, and we do not sell it.
Data Retention
Because your personal content stays on your device, its retention is entirely under your control and lasts as long as the App is installed. Subscription and advertising data are retained by Apple and Google respectively, according to their own policies.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing.
- For your local content: you control it directly in the App and can delete it at any time.
- For subscription data: contact Apple Support.
- For advertising data: use the Google links above or your device's ad settings.
For any other request, contact us at webesum.contact@gmail.com.
Children's Privacy
Mialo is not directed to children under the age of digital consent applicable in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through advertising features, please contact us so we can address it.
International Transfers
Apple and Google may process data on servers located outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. These providers rely on their own safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers, as detailed in their privacy policies.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated, in particular if our subscription offer or advertising partners change. Any change will be reflected by a new update date at the top of this page.
